📋 Description

• Partner directly with client technical and business stakeholders on a large-scale mainframe modernization initiative • Design and communicate DevSecOps automation strategies aligned with legacy-to-cloud modernization goals and customer mission needs • Build technical briefings, modernization roadmaps, and reusable customer-facing solution artifacts • Guide engineering teams and customer personnel on CI/CD pipeline modernization, security integration, test automation, and cloud deployment • Evaluate legacy mainframe workflows and plan prototype implementations demonstrating modernization feasibility and value • Assess modernization progress and support iterative improvements across development, deployment, security, and monitoring workflows • Shape the technical roadmap and lead solution development • Guide engineering teams through modern DevSecOps approaches supporting reliability, security, and scalability • Report to the Chief Architect • Support mission-critical operational modernization outcomes for a major federal customer

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree preferred • 10+ years of software development experience • 5+ years in DevSecOps CI/CD • 3+ years developing cloud-native software solutions • Certifications in software development, DevSecOps, or cloud-native architecture • Expertise in DevSecOps automation, Agile/Lean delivery, and enterprise-grade CI/CD tooling • Experience with GitLab/GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Sonatype, New Relic, Dynatrace, or similar tools • Hands-on experience designing and supporting cloud-native architectures, containerized microservices, API-driven interfaces, and event-based systems • Strong background in application containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift • Proficiency in Java, .NET, Node.js, Spring, Angular, React, JSON, or similar technologies • Experience with large datasets, data migration strategies, and modernization-aligned analytics workflows • Experience helping federal customers adopt cloud-native architectures and services is desired • Ability to onboard teams into modern DevSecOps pipelines and accelerate automation adoption is desired • Experience scaling high-performance engineering solutions for structured and unstructured data is desired • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging directly with customer stakeholders is desired • Travel required less than 10%
