📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs • Write production-grade Ruby code for core services and applications • Collaborate with technical leadership to ensure code quality, security, and maintainability • Develop integrations with internal, external, and third-party systems • Create and maintain API documentation and development standards • Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, and API security best practices • Monitor and optimize API performance, reliability, and scalability • Support API versioning and backward compatibility • Troubleshoot production issues and participate in Tier 1/Tier 2 on-call rotations • Promote the use of AI-enabled development tools to improve productivity and code quality

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of Ruby on Rails development experience • Strong experience designing, building, and supporting APIs • Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational databases • Experience with RSpec testing framework • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities • Experience working in Agile software development environments • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance • Must have lived continuously within the United States for the previous three consecutive years • Must successfully pass a government suitability review and background investigation • Preferred: experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm • Preferred: familiarity with OAuth and secure software development practices • Preferred: experience with Git version control • Preferred: experience with Sidekiq or similar asynchronous processing tools • Preferred: exposure to Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architectures • Federal government experience preferred
