📋 Description

• Work closely with product, design, and customers to shape what to build and how • Turn vague requirements into clear technical plans and adjust them as needed • Design, build, and ship production features across APIs, data models, services, and UI • Make architecture decisions balancing immediate speed with long-term maintainability • Build AI-powered capabilities including LLM features, retrieval, agents, and MCP tool-calling flows with scoped permissions and failure recovery • Build evaluations from real user questions before prompts or model changes ship • Protect AI features against prompt injection, personal-data leaks, and fabricated answers • Maintain production health through monitoring, tracing, debugging, and fixing reliability, cost, and latency issues • Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor while owning quality, testing, and reliability • Raise engineering standards through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and workflow improvements

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering, shipping customer-facing products in production • Strong full-stack fundamentals: Python (FastAPI or similar), React and TypeScript, relational databases and SQL, and shipping containerized services to the cloud • Strong system design: data modeling, API design, and production systems that remain reliable, fast, and secure as they grow • Hands-on experience shipping LLM-powered features: context engineering, prompts, retrieval, tools, memory, evals, model failure handling, and AI system architecture • AI-native workflow using tests as a safety net and evaluating AI output • Strong product sense • High EQ and ability to maintain stakeholder trust • Clear communication with technical and non-technical people • Comfortable working independently amid ambiguity • Drug-free workplace requirement • Nice to have: demonstrated use of AI tools professionally or personally • Nice to have: experience integrating generative AI into day-to-day workflows
