📋 Description

• Create and execute SQL queries to validate backend system processing, data integrity, and business rule implementation • Support ETL testing by executing predefined scenarios and comparing source and target data • Perform database functionality testing using documented INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE procedures • Review business and system requirements to understand testing objectives and expected results • Create, adapt, and execute backend functionality test cases • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using approved frameworks and coding standards • Maintain test documentation, test cases, and test execution records • Analyze application behavior, test results, and database output to identify defects and processing inconsistencies • Compile quality metrics and help identify trends and issues • Communicate testing progress, defects, and results to team members and supervisors • Investigate assigned defects using SQL queries, system logs, and troubleshooting procedures • Support production incident analysis using system logs, database records, and applications • Execute and maintain backend validation tests for enhancements, system modifications, and production releases • Provide feedback on testing processes and identify process improvement opportunities • Perform technical systems analysis, backend application testing, database analysis, ETL validation, and automated test development for computer applications and information systems • Complete assigned performance-review responsibilities, special projects, and other duties

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field • 1-2 years of QA experience in software quality assurance and automated testing, including functional, integration, and regression testing, in an Agile/Scrum development environment; internships, CPT programs, contract roles, or equivalent hands-on experience acceptable • Hands-on experience with at least one automated testing framework, such as Selenium or TestComplete • Working knowledge of SQL for database querying and data validation, including SELECT statements, WHERE clauses, JOINs, and basic subqueries • Experience with Oracle or SQL Server database environments • Experience with ETL applications and backend data validation testing • Working knowledge of version control software such as GIT • Experience creating and executing test cases based on business requirements • Ability to identify, document, and report software defects with clear descriptions and reproduction steps • Good written and verbal communication skills • Familiarity with at least one issue tracking tool, such as Jira or Azure DevOps • Hands-on experience with at least one AI tool, such as ChatGPT or GitHub Copilot, for code generation, documentation, or technical learning • Ability to leverage AI-assisted capabilities for test case optimization and automation improvements • Understanding of AI output validation and the importance of human review before production implementation • Experience with DML operations, including INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE validation, and data consistency verification • Working knowledge of software testing methodologies and backend application testing principles • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance
