📋 Description

• Evaluate the quality of interactions with modern coding agents such as OpenAI Codex and Claude Code • Assess whether AI-generated responses make sense and whether preambles and reasoning are useful • Judge whether outputs reflect strong engineering judgment and feel appropriate to an experienced developer • Evaluate AI-generated coding interactions end-to-end • Determine whether outputs are useful, correct at a high level, and aligned with strong engineering thinking • Assess explanations and reasoning, not just code • Distinguish different levels of response quality • Provide clear, opinionated feedback on what worked, what did not, and what felt off or misleading • Help define what great interaction looks like when using tools such as Cursor • Make subjective but rigorous judgments about whether AI interactions build or erode user trust

🎯 Requirements

• Highly experienced software engineer (SR+) or Staff / Principal-level engineer (or equivalent experience) • Strong background in TypeScript / JavaScript or Python • Hands-on experience using OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, and Cursor • Deep familiarity with modern AI-assisted development workflows • Ability to evaluate code without needing to fully execute or deeply review every line • Comfortable making direct, opinionated feedback • High bar for what “good engineering” looks like • Subjective but rigorous judgment of AI coding-agent interactions • Take-home evaluation exercise • One behavioral interview • Agreement to a simple background check for the project is requested in the application form
