📋 Description

• Lead digital modernization of the FAA Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM) platform • Architect, design, develop, and implement next-generation applications using current technologies and software engineering best practices • Apply AI-leveraged development practices, including agentic coding tools, multi-agent orchestration, MCP-based tool integration, RAG, context engineering, and AI evaluations/guardrails • Develop and manage DevOps and CI/CD tooling with GitLab, ArgoCD, Docker, and SonarQube • Implement infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible • Build containerized and platform-as-a-service solutions with Docker and OpenShift/Kubernetes • Modernize the TFDM platform through software development, system design, continuous integration, continuous delivery, automation, testing, tool integration, and AI • Develop customer integrations for enterprise CI/CD architecture • Provide architectural oversight for software development, integration, test automation, security testing, and deployments • Mentor the development team in application integration, SOA, security, business process management, CI/CD, containerization, reporting, and UX • Investigate and repair defects across CI/CD pipelines, front-end, business logic, middleware, and backend components • Brief internal or client executive leadership on significant organization or project matters • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, engineering, or related technical discipline • Master’s or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience • 12+ years of experience with full lifecycle development • 7+ years of combined experience supporting GitOps/DevOps/DevSecOps • 7+ years of combined experience in software development with Java, C++, or Python • Experience with AI-Leveraged Development, including agentic coding tools, multi-agent orchestration, MCP-based tool integration, RAG, context engineering, and AI evals/guardrails • Experience working in Agile software development environments • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance • Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident • Expertise in architecting solutions for operational excellence, security, reliability, performance, cost optimization, and sustainability • Experience presenting solutions to Executive Management • Experience vetting and implementing new technologies and processes • Experience with Red Hat OpenShift or other Kubernetes platforms, Docker/Podman, and Helm • Enterprise-level DevOps/GitOps architecture experience using GitLab, Argo CD, Argo Workflow, Argo Rollout, Argo Events, and Git • Extensive Java experience and at least one additional language such as C++ or Python • AI-assisted software development experience using GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or equivalent platforms • Experience migrating legacy applications to OpenShift/Kubernetes containerized solutions • Experience deploying cloud-native applications to AWS • Experience identifying requirements, researching options, and designing and implementing leadership-level solutions • Experience with monitoring, scalability, and application reliability tools • Excellent communication and written skills
