📋 Description

• Work with data stewards to capture and certify data definitions • Map data assets across Finance, Commercial, HR, and Marketing, including tables, fields, and metrics • Improve Excel/Python-based metadata intake processes and identify systemization opportunities • Facilitate definition workshops with domain owners and stakeholders • Recommend business definitions, descriptions, owners, related terms, and calculation logic • Follow up with stakeholders to maintain progress across domains • Resolve cross-domain terminology conflicts • Clean and validate metadata inputs before uploading to Unity Catalog • Upload approved definitions and verify accuracy, searchability, discoverability, and usability • Establish lightweight governance processes to keep definitions current • Maintain a centralized business glossary and metadata repository • Map business terminology to tables, columns/fields, reports, dashboards, KPIs, and metrics • Analyze relationships between data assets and business concepts • Define approval and certification workflows for business definitions • Review metadata submissions for completeness and accuracy • Support metadata audits, remediation, and lifecycle management • Create user guides, SOPs, process documentation, and handover documentation • Train operational teams

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience • Experience in data stewardship • Experience with Databricks • Experience with Databricks Data Governance • Experience with Unity Catalog • Python skills (good to have) • Experience with Microsoft Excel • Experience with Power BI/Tableau (preferred) • Experience with Azure Data Platform (preferred) • Experience with Jira/Confluence • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency • Ability to work remotely in Canada
