📋 Description

• Build systems that ingest partner activity and serve as the authoritative billing source of truth • Turn partner activity into accurate monthly invoices • Build an internal claims portal for tracking, adjusting and resolving claims with a clean audit trail • Hire, onboard and lead a high-performing engineering team • Set architecture and technical strategy across ingestion, system of record, reconciliation, invoicing and claims tooling • Remain hands-on in the codebase while developing the team's delivery capability • Ensure billing and claims data integrity, correctness, auditability and reconciliation • Partner with product, operations, finance and partner-facing teams • Establish engineering practices, on-call processes, quality standards and the platform roadmap

🎯 Requirements

• Seven or more years of full-stack software engineering experience • Two or more years managing or formally leading engineering teams • Track record of building and scaling backend systems and APIs, ideally financial, billing or transactional systems • Experience integrating with third-party partner systems and building bi-directional sync • Experience with modern tech stacks and architectures • AI-forward engineering leadership and daily AI-assisted development • Proven ability to hire, grow and lead engineering teams • Strong data modeling skills and comfort with reconciliation, audit trails and systems of record • Excellent communication and cross-functional partnership skills • Experience taking a product, platform or new business line from 0 to 1 • Experience in insurance or fintech • Familiarity with billing, invoicing or reconciliation platforms • Experience in an early-stage or new-business-line environment inside a larger company • Based in the United States
