Cari Network is a permissioned, blockchain-based payments and settlement platform that issues tokenized deposits called "Cari"—digital tokens representing U. S. dollar customer deposits held at chartered banks. The network is built to enable always-on, programmable, on-chain money movement that integrates with bank systems, preserves regulatory protections of underlying deposits (including FDIC insurance eligibility within limits), and connects traditional banking infrastructure with decentralized finance participants.

📋 Description

• Own major parts of the Cari blockchain-based payment platform end to end • Build and evolve bank-facing management dashboards for onboarding, user and role management, transaction monitoring, settlement operations, interbank book transfer tracking, API keys, and webhooks • Design and ship TypeScript backend services for orchestration, banking, transactions, bilateral netting, and settlement APIs • Build and maintain integrations with bank partners and third-party platforms, including provider adapters, webhook-driven flows, and real-time event updates • Model and evolve PostgreSQL schemas for core banking entities with financial-data correctness and auditability • Improve automated testing, CI/CD, observability, release engineering, and deployment practices with DevOps • Work with product and design to translate tokenization complexity into familiar banking primitives • Write documentation, integration guides, and reference implementations for bank partners • Support production services and collaborate with product, design, DevOps, and partner-facing teams • Comply with Cari information security policies and complete required security awareness training • Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Cari systems and data

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production software, focused on backend services and cloud application architecture • Strong expertise in TypeScript across front end and back end • Deep experience with React, modern component architecture, state management patterns, and data-heavy workflows • Solid Node.js experience building REST APIs and event-driven services; the company uses Fastify on Node 24 • Comfort owning a feature from schema to UI • Experience with asynchronous workflows, webhooks, and synchronizing UI state with backend transaction states • Experience building responsive, polished, high-quality user interfaces for complex workflows • Strong product sense and attention to usability, implementation quality, and maintainability • Experience with cloud application architecture, microservices, event-driven messaging such as Kafka, and durable workflow orchestration such as Restate • Must be currently based in the United States • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Must not require sponsorship to maintain work authorization, based on the application questions • Nice-to-have: cloud infrastructure, containerization, and deployment orchestration such as AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes • Nice-to-have: mature CI/CD and testing practice using GitHub Actions, node-tap, and Vitest • Nice-to-have: banking systems, fintech infrastructure, payment products, or interbank settlement mechanics • Nice-to-have: ACH, wires, RTP, FedNow, or other bank payment rails • Nice-to-have: observability, tracing, or audit logging in financial systems • Nice-to-have: security and compliance experience in regulated environments • Nice-to-have: theming, white-labeling, and multi-tenant product customization
