📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications • Analyze and resolve complex software defects and production issues • Support enhancements and sustainment activities for applications using Java, Spring Framework, Struts, JSP, EJB, JMS, WebLogic, Hibernate, Oracle, and related technologies • Design and implement REST and SOAP-based services and integrations • Develop and maintain modern backend services using Java 17+, Spring Boot, microservices, JPA/Hibernate, and REST APIs • Collaborate with architects and senior developers on modernization initiatives • Develop and optimize SQL queries and database integrations • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers • Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD processes, and application deployments • Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver high-quality software solutions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) • 3–7 years of software development experience • Strong experience with Java development • Experience with Spring Framework and/or Spring Boot • Experience developing REST APIs and web services • Experience working with Oracle or other relational databases • Experience using Git-based source control • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Required) • Must have reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting • Standard business hours are Monday through Friday; occasional extended or weekend hours may be required based on operational needs • Preferred: Experience with WebLogic application server administration or deployment • Preferred: Experience with Struts, JSP, EJB, JMS, or other enterprise Java technologies • Preferred: Experience with microservices architectures • Preferred: Experience with Docker and containerized applications • Preferred: Experience with React, JavaScript, or TypeScript • Preferred: Experience supporting federal government or VA programs • Preferred: Experience with Jira and Confluence
