📋 Description

• Design, build, and scale services and integrations behind Payment, Billing, Identity, and partner integrations • Lead scoping, design, and implementation for owned APIs • Drive production rollouts to completion with minimal oversight • Work closely with product, design, and engineering peers • Solve renters’ problems through small, frequent iterations • Standardize APIs, tools, and processes for external partner data sharing and payments • Support billing and payment monitoring, operations, reliability, dashboards, SLIs/SLOs, runbooks, deployment, and on-call procedures • Build and own platforms, tooling, and documentation for payments, wallet, and settlement finance systems

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years experience in software engineering • Minimum of 4 years experience with Java • Ability to work on a globally-distributed team with a high degree of ownership • Experience working with technical and non-technical stakeholders, successfully aligning and setting expectations on scope and delivery • Ability to grow in a fast-paced and dynamic environment • Experience building robust, fault-tolerant systems with multiple external dependencies • Experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines • Proficient in Java frameworks and tools including Spring, Gradle, JUnit, and JVM memory/performance tuning and garbage collection • Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture, REST APIs, Message Queues, and scalable architectures • Experience with AWS, including EKS, Aurora RDS, ElastiCache, and DynamoDB • Experience with containerization tools • Preferred: proficiency in CI/CD systems, preferably GitHub Actions, Git, and automation • Preferred: observability and monitoring tools such as DataDog • Preferred: big data platforms and tooling, including Snowflake • Preferred: Infrastructure as Code using CDK and Terraform • Preferred: mentoring junior engineers and elevating team standards through best practices • Preferred: excellent written and verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration
