📋 Description

• Administer vendor software tools including BMC DevX Code Pipeline/ISPW, BMC Topaz Workbench, IBM IDz v17.*, and CA-JCLCHECK • Demonstrate technical expertise and knowledge • Lead resolution processes for complex problems requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors • Develop technical solutions and automate processes • Lead individual or small-team initiatives • Utilize and extend IBM and ISV utilities such as DFSORT, Syncsort, IDCAMS, IEBGENER, IEBCOPY, and SORT utilities • Recommend modernization options • Identify new business opportunities • Cultivate relationships with other teams and stakeholders • Collaborate with diverse teams and clients across industries

🎯 Requirements

• 5–8+ years of mainframe experience • 3+ years focused on utilities development / batch processing • Strong experience with IBM z/OS environment • Hands-on expertise in JCL and batch processing • Experience with DFSORT / Syncsort, IDCAMS, and IBM utilities • Experience building data processing utilities and ETL batch processes • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for batch environments • Experience with Mainframe z/OS and Horizon platforms, z/OS USS, z/OS Connect, Jenkins, Ansible, IDz and/or Eclipse-based software • Knowledge of REXX and REXX Skeletons, COBOL, Python, Java, JavaScript, and SQL • Knowledge of IBM, Broadcom, and BMC utilities and software • Knowledge of SCMs including BMC AMI DevX Code Pipeline (ISPW), BMC AMI DevX Workbench, Broadcom Endevor, Rocket Changeman, and IBM Developer for z/OS (IDz) • Familiarity with DB2, IMS, VSAM, and sequential datasets • Experience with File-AID, Easytrieve, ICETOOL, and scheduling tools such as CA-7, Control-M, and TWS • Knowledge of automation frameworks including REXX and Python • Experience with large-scale data processing / ETL pipelines on mainframe • Exposure to mainframe modernization and DevOps initiatives • Knowledge of z/OS Unix/System Services, Bash, HFS/ZFS filesystem, Unix permissions, and SSH • Knowledge of GitHub, BitBucket, VSCode, Zowe, Confluence, TCP/IP, and SPLUNK/ELK
