📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain Ruby on Rails applications and RESTful API endpoints • Develop scalable and maintainable APIs supporting integrations between applications and services • Enhance and maintain existing Ruby on Rails applications while following established development and architectural best practices • Develop and integrate front-end functionality using React and related JavaScript technologies • Troubleshoot application and API issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions • Collaborate with developers, technical leads, architects, and stakeholders to design and deliver application enhancements • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and project success

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, with 5+ years of professional software development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using Ruby on Rails • Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs • Experience with React, JavaScript, and modern web application development • Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to developing high-quality, maintainable software • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a distributed technical team • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and writing efficient database queries • Experience with automated testing frameworks and software development best practices, including Git-based version control and CI/CD • Experience supporting applications within federal government or healthcare IT environments is preferred • U.S. Citizenship is required • All selected candidates must successfully complete a background check • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government/Public Trust clearance, including required fingerprinting, when required for the position • Must reside within the continental US • Sponsorship is not available
