📋 Description

• Design, develop, and optimize backend systems for real-time data processing and web services • Integrate backend components with other services to ensure performance and scalability • Investigate problematic features, analyze root causes, run experiments, and translate findings into engineering improvements • Perform performance tuning, debugging, and testing of backend systems • Share engineering best practices and collaborate on cross-functional projects • Participate in a shared on-call rotation • Mentor junior developers • Own features from concept through final deployment

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in backend development • Strong, demonstrated experience in GoLang and/or Node.js, with willingness to learn • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems • Experience building and optimizing APIs, real-time data processing systems, and microservices architectures • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with DynamoDB, Redis, or Elasticsearch • Proficiency with Git, IDEs, shell scripting, and CI/CD • Proficient in English for clear communication in a global, remote team • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating as a team member • Must be authorized to work from the home location • BS/MS in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience (nice to have) • Experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation (nice to have) • Experience with TypeScript, Express, ClickHouse, dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks (nice to have) • Experience with Datadog or other monitoring and logging platforms (nice to have) • Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes (nice to have) • Experience with large open-source projects and asynchronous collaboration across a worldwide team (nice to have) • Experience with both Node.js and Go in a backend context (nice to have) • Understanding of Internet security and privacy mechanisms (nice to have)
