📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain robust responsive frontends using React • Design, build, and maintain high-performance Ruby on Rails APIs for web, desktop, and mobile clients • Own PostgreSQL data architecture, including data modeling, schema migrations, query optimization, and indexing • Manage and scale Docker- and Kubernetes-based containerized services • Provision cloud infrastructure with Terraform • Harden and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines • Deliver production-ready, thoroughly tested pull requests • Participate in technical design reviews and provide rigorous peer code reviews • Collaborate with business development and mission success teams on complex technical escalations • Troubleshoot issues to keep critical field operations unblocked • Solve data serialization and synchronization challenges and integrate external enterprise and tactical systems • Maintain a secure backend for mobile application authentication and synchronization

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ Years of Professional Full-Stack Experience • Passionate early adopter of AI-powered development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) • Deep expertise in Ruby, including Rails or similar frameworks, and SQL • Experience designing scalable services, data modeling, complex schema migrations, and optimizing low-performing queries • Deep proficiency in modern React, complex application state management, and frontend performance optimization • Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, advanced indexing strategies, query execution plans, transaction management, and performance tuning • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes • Experience with Terraform for cloud infrastructure as code • Experience owning CI/CD pipelines • Ability to work autonomously with high feature velocity in a fully remote, asynchronous environment • Proactive communication and ability to raise questions early, collaborate on designs, and provide clear ticket progress visibility • Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States required for all hires
